Nicolas Selosse is part of a group of Belgian birders currently spending their days by the machine house. Very little that passes within range of their powerful telescopes escape their keen attention, especially if it looks anything like a Pomarine Skua! Nicolas has been to Slettnes several times, and when we spoke to him in the afternoon of May 15th, the happy Belgians were two hours into a Skua rush they believed would break their earlier record. We quickly understood that this was not the time for a longer chat, and left the guys in the sun. As for the Pomarine, this is what it looks like:
